Independence-Godhra-Amarnath : Rise of the Hindu brigade

I cannot help comparing the three events. We had Hindu Right wings during our freedom struggle. Are we seeing then rise again?

Lets take Godhra, Muslims strike then hindus strike harder. Then there is no Hindu-Muslim Riots to speak of. Now Amarnath. Muslims protest against Amarnath land Transfer, then we see Hindu brigade protests in response. For a moment Muslims must be estatic that they got their demands acceped. But, now ....;D

So, what will be status of these Hindu brigades. Pre Independence they were labeled terrorists. Now the terrorist label is comming again.

I am not taking sides. Both the communities are equally responsible. They have huge history behind them. Its been ages, and they have still not learnt to live peacefully.

Technically speaking, the Muslims ire was not against Hindus. It was against our so called secular administrator. And the so called secular administrators bowed, prosterated. What was the result, they did not see the Hindu tsunami comming up.

In a way, the Muslim community has not learnt it lesson. They have glimpsed the fate of Babri Masjid. Did they not read Amarnath? How can they be so foolish? If you think rumour mongering caused such an incident, I will say then the people are just foolish. The land was for piligrims to stay. What is wrong with infrastructure upgrades?

Now for both sides, i.e, Hindus and Muslims, they have not learnt another important lesson which can ensure them peace and prosperity for ages to come. They should have known that "Never Trust the politicians."

When Rahul Gandhi said that his father would have stood in front of the Babri Masjid to save it, he himself is in Beijing wantching olympics. I do not mean to show him in bad light, actually I don't need to, all I am showing is that the politicians actually do not care. This is an very important lesson.

Another aspect is the commercial interest. This time its the apple growers. They threaten to march to Muzaffarabad (which is the capital of so called Azad Kashmir (AJK)). By all means let them go there and sell their apples. Those poverty ridden pre historic inhabitants are just waiting with Dollars for apples.

As turn of fate, Now this has developed into a full fledged Hindu-Muslim fight.

"We never had a problem like this before," said Bashir Ahmed, a farmer from the Muslim Gujjar community. In oppressive humidity of a dark cattle shed with scorched brick walls, he revealed crescent-shaped scars on his back from the mob's beating.

"I had heard from parents about '47," he said, referring to Partition in 1947 when India and Pakistan were formed and hundreds of thousands were killed in religious clashes.

"But this is the first time I have seen anything like this."

What a poor idiot. I have stopped feeling pity for such sob stories? What were they thinking? He talks about 1947, what about Godhra? Did it not happen in his lifetime?

What would have gone wrong if the two communities would have sat toghter and worked it out, instead of taking up protests with opportunistic administration?

Today, it has become Jammu vs kashmir and not jammu and Kashmir. How many more fragments will these stupid people make out of its state? We already have Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and the so called Ajad Kashmir. So much for achieveing unity of the god foresaken state.

Your comparison of Godhra and Amarnath is not justified.

Dont believe popular media interpretation that this is a hindu vs. muslim fight. Muslims of Jammu are equally frustrated with injustrices done to them in the past. Amarnath issue was just the trigger.
I think the traders who wanted to leave the valley should have been allowed to go forever.. They could have set up a flourishing fruit growing industry in Muzzafarabad!
Indians need to reinvent themselves as moderate, pragmatic and iron handed adminstrators. I have no clue why Shivraj Patil hasnt resigned for this fiasco. The lesser said the better about Mehbooba and her clan !

Thank you for writing. Why do you think the Godhra and Amarnath are not apt comparission?

Didn't we see Hindus strike back this time? I was sure not to compare the Hindu-muslim riots of Godhra. Just the response of the Hindu brigade.

I said, the 2 communities should have sat togther and sorted it out instead of rioting and approaching the politicuans.

P Chidambram - Shiv raj Patil and Arjun Singh = Favoraits of Italian Raj. Why should they resign?
